Thanks yous and results

Well another Bogstomp is in the books. It was a beautiful day spent with awesome people. Just to put it down officially I want to say a  few special thank yous in no particular order:
  • Kristi Wrigley for giving us a venue and yummy apple bars and brownies!
  • Bryan Buswell for some AWESOME Bog-art,
  • Guy Smith for the wonderful music,
  • The Wandering Weenie Wagon for taking the burden of feeding the masses off of our shoulders,
  • The Scoop for the kiddie gift certificates
  • Lost Coast Brewery for donating refreshments,
  • Tim Daniels for brewing a ONE-OFF special home bog-brew (Delicious as always!),
  • Rose and Ryan for slaving over the numbers,
  • ...and everyone else who lent a hand- I KNOW I'm forgetting someone....
And last but not least, Thank you to all who came out and raced, watched, heckled and enjoyed.  We'll see you again next year!

An event description for folks unfamiliar with Bogstompin'

1. Bikes. 2. Beer & Food.
3. Music

Ok- but now seriously:

For those who haven't been to the Bogstomp before the event is a "cyclo-cross" event. The course is short and flat with a mix of woodsy singletrack, flat dirt road and a short paved section. If it rains it is muddy, if it is dry it can be rippin' fast. There are three races; a short & sweet kids race for the little guys, a 30 minute and a 50 minute. The race has been won in the past by both cyclo-cross bikes and mountain bikes so it is a pretty level playing field. The determining factor seems to be rider (surprise surprise). There is a large 'haybarn' structure to huddle in if it is raining and the Bogstomp Brewmeister always rolls out a special keg of BogBrew. Come on out and enjoy the day!
